Volunteer Opportunities

 

Volunteer with Amarillo Housing First and provide a much needed service to the homeless in our community. Amarillo Housing First is a non-profit organization funded through private community donations and grants to provide permanent housing and supportive services for the chronically homeless. Flexible schedules are available, and training is provided.

 

 

Case Manager Volunteers

 

Join our team of volunteers as an AHF Case Manager on the Street or Home Teams to provide permanent housing for the chronically homeless using the Pathways Housing First model.

 

Delivery Truck Volunteers

 

AHF is seeking volunteer delivery truck drivers and lease or donation of a 2nd delivery truck in support of the Amarillo Housing First Furniture Closet Program to provide household furniture at no cost to our formerly homeless clients.

 

AHF Transportation Volunteers

 

When you join the team of AHF Transportation Volunteers you provide much-needed support in your community. Transportation is one of the top challenges for the homeless after transitioning into permanent housing.

 

Furniture Closet Volunteers

 

The AHF Furniture Closet is a free thrift shop available to AHF clients and is sustained through collections of community donations.

 

Reception and Staff Volunteers

 

This position supports all aspects of AHF daily operations.
